The Rant: College football is full of reasonable suspicion

I think we?ve been forced over time to accept college football for what it is. We enjoy the traditions, close games, shocking upsets and chance to see the teams we care about dismantle squads we?ve never heard of. The trade off? Any shade of common sense.

College football is run like a bunch of individual criminal organizations trying to dirty their way to success. On Thursday, it was announced that Oregon will try random drug testing this year. That sounds fine. Especially when you realize what they were doing before: tests based on reasonable suspicion. What does that even mean? I have reasonable suspicion to believe you may have smoked marijuana three weeks ago based on the fact you seemed a little too contemplative today. Give me a break. This is a perfect example of the kind of loose rules and nonsense that sullies the sport.?
