Kohl's adding EV chargers at 4 North Texas stores

Kohl's Department Stores will install electric vehicle charging stations at four stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Kohl?s Department Stores announced Wednesday that it will add free electric-vehicle charging stations at stores in Keller, Lewisville, Arlington and Mesquite.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based company (NYSE: KSS) said it will add two charging stations at each of the four stores. It?s part of an expansion that will add chargers at 18 Kohl?s locations in Texas, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

In North Texas, Kohl?s is working with ECOtality Inc. (Nasdaq: ECTY) to install the new chargers.

San Francisco-based ECOtality is implementing the Department of Energy?s $230 million EV Project nationwide. The project is collecting and analyzing data on electric vehicle use, the charging infrastructure and the various models that businesses use to charge for the service.
